Getting Started with PPC

Create a Listing

  • General Tab: Enter your Primary + Secondary Categories. Based on the options you select here, the vendor panel will provide recommendations for every available listicle that matches those categories. Note here, our categories can be overarching, whereas your offerings would be specific. As such, not every recommended listicle is going to be a fit for you - this will be vetted by the editorial team when you apply

  • Assets Tab: Enter your updated Logo & Screenshots

  • Pricing: If you offer customized pricing options, we recommend entering the lowest price or the pricing calculated for your ideal lead

Set up Your Pay Per Click Campaign

  • PPC Bid Management: This is your PPC Campaign dashboard. Here you can set your monthly budget, manage your individual CPC bids, apply for relevant listicles and request specific editorial changes

    • Monthly Budget : Minimum $1000

    • Default bid : Lowest CPC $6.00

    • Accepted methods of payment: 

      • Credit Card : You can add a Credit Card at the very bottom of the page

      • Monthly Wire Transfer : If you’d prefer a direct wire transfer on a monthly basis, inform your Account Manager, and they will assist you in setting it up

  • Conversion Tracking: You can implement the script in this section on your website’s signup success page(s)

  • Bidding:

    • Click on the publication of choice (CXL, DPM, PRD etc)

    • Identify the listicle/article to be featured on

    • 30-Day Clicks : Number of clicks received by the article in the last 30 days

    • Your Bid : Starts with your default CPC bid. Click “Edit” to change your bid

    • Est. Position : Your estimated position at the entered CPC bid

    • Winning Bid : CPC bid by the vendor at 1st position. Bids can be increased or decreased by a minimum of $0.50

Review Performance

  • Analytics: This is where you can track your campaign’s performance in near real time. Select the time period you’d like to analyze

    • Category: Every listicle that your product/service is featured on

    • Website: Websites to the listicles that your product/service is featured on

    • Impressions: The number of impressions you received on that particular listicle

    • Average CPC: Your average CPC on that particular listicle, for the selected time period

    • Total Cost: Your total spend on that particular listicle for the selected time period

Manage Your Account

      • Click on the publication of choice (CXL, DPM, PRD etc)

      • Identify the listicle/article to be featured on

      • Then click Show Options:

        • Listicle Landing Page: Add the landing page you would like visitors (potential leads) to be directed to when they click on your product’s/service’s name on that specific listicle. You can also enter your UTM parameters here to track performance at a listicle level

        • Request Editorial Changes: Once your campaign is live and you’re featured on the listicle of your choice, you can request changes specific to pricing, features and integrations directly to the Editorial team here. If your changes are more comprehensive in nature, pass them onto your Account Manager to present to the Editorial team.

        • Applying for Listicles: After setting the monthly budget, setting your bid and adding your landing page (with UTMs), click “Apply” to be featured on that specific listicle. Our editorial team will then review your application for “Product Fit” and will build the entirety of the content. For most cases, the turnaround time here is 24 hours, but depending on the backlog it can take up to 4 days. As a general rule of thumb, if you don’t see any changes after 24 hours, please inform your Account Manager, to fast-track the process (where possible

        • Activating Your Campaign: If your preferred method of payment is Credit Card, click “Activate Campaign” at the bottom of the page, to automatically go live, once your application is accepted by the editorial

        • Account: To add users, invite them by entering their First Name, Last Name and email address

        • Billing: View invoice history with status
